I have a favour to ask. A Halbie friend of mine in the UK has bought a
Fleming wind vane and is having trouble getting it to work.
Do you know any:
1. cruising boats with Fleming wind-vanes that can give me some
information;
2. any advertisers, shiprights, suppliers etc that might be able to
help?
Nick can't get his Halb to steer a straight course in anything under 20
knots of wind and virtually impossible with the wind astern. Halbs have
a bit of weather helm, but not much and is fixed by tensioning the
main and also be reefing early.
