We
are the People that are FREE! |
|
Passage people are
those that have been met at anchorages or marinas or beaches
or whatever along the way. They are featured perhaps because
they are unique and special or because they are not, rather because
they are just typical examples but of an extraordinary group.
By being cruising boaties, all of these people have stepped off
the well trod path and done something exceptional with their
lives. |

"Rebeka"
Kristen and Mark with family, Sara,
Jake and Luke. Everyone who attended the games and had a great
time owes a particular thanks to Mark. Not that there wasnt
a big effort from a lot of people who did it for the joy of it,
but it was Mark who saw the vacumn of leadership and filled it.
With his easy going style and obvious sense of fairness, the
event came together with the spirit intact. Dont know what
would have happened without him. Good on yer and thanks. And
Mark...... for a couple slabs of beer, I will delete the photos
of you at the rubber boot toss!! |

"Talisman"
and
"Beluga
Too"
What a cruising couple!
Petrea has been sailing since 5 year old and is a professional
rigger. Dennis claims to have been Shanghied, abused
and taught to sail before Petrea would let him buy his own boat.
Tale gets taller every time I hear it, she sighs.
Thats Beluga Too lying in the sand behind them.
Dennis has a motor on his Bruce Tyson built, Bolger designed
boat, Petrea doesnt seem to need one. |

"Galileo"
Claire and Chris
worked out cruising way sooner than most. Another victim of my
paper delivery, I had to stop by the next day to find the secret
to their wisdom. The answer is, they just did it! |

"Kiemar"
Its great
to get a big laugh out of someone just as the camera clicks!
Angela is reacting to a crowd behind me encouraging her to show
more skin...I caught her before she hid under the sarong. Allen
and Angela sail their beautiful cat on the yearly migration and
hang around some very uncouth company! (they know
who I mean!) |

"Andrea"
Collen and Findlay with
crew Linda and Peter are from the GC but got caught on a paper
delivery at Naraville. They knew who I was but invited
me on board anyway. It was good times to look around the fabulous
67 ft motor cat and have a few drinks and laughs. As you can
see, it was late before I left. Thanks for the evening! |

"Zorana"
I noticed the accent
and asked Jack where they were from. He said, there,
indicating the boat. Seems lately the only sensible place for
an American patriot to be is Faroffistan. He and
Sandi were caught at the Lizard games parade doing their best
Yankee Doodle. Thanks for your words of encouragement
at Lizard Jack.. |
