email a question regarding my ad

Welcome Aboard!
The Coastal Passage appreciates your support and stands by to assist in any way we can. There is usually no charge for production or production assistance from TCP.
If you are having your ad prepared in house, please forward your PDF or JPG (minimum 200 DPI at correct dimension) as soon as possible. We will process the ad for publication and return a proof copy to you with an invoice.
If you wish to alter your ad between editions, please keep in mind that we have limitations on what we can do with an ad that was supplied to us by PDF or JPG so you may have to have your production artists make the changes. If TCP produces your ad there are no limitations on revisions.
Deadlines; TCP is published bi-monthly and the normal deadline is the mid month prior to the next printing. For example, if next printing is early June, then the normal deadline would be about May 15th. We encourage material to be forwarded as soon as possible but also stand by to accommodate last minute material. If in doubt, contact us to get an exact date.

Notes for production; The Coastal Passage publishes on better quality newsprint. To insure a quality print and avoid 'smearing' the colours should not be in excess of 80%. Thus figure a 20% "dot gain". TCP will correct that in processing if submitted over-rich.

TCP is published with "stitch and trim". The image below illustrates how the bleed area is affected by the trim in full and half page sizes. Smaller ads are printed entirely within the text (yellow) area.

Again, thank you and we look forward to providing opportunities to promote your product or service. Be sure to ask about our "Good News From TCP Advertisers" section in the paper. Another free service for regular TCP print advertisers.
