PLACEMENT
First come best dressed but there are no bad pages in
TCP because there is no advertorial or "filler". If
you have a large ad order and feel you need a special arrangement,
contact Bob.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANCE
If layout is straight forward, or delivered ready for press,
there is no charge for production. If the ad copy requires significant
preparation, we will notify of any additional charge upon receipt
of copy. Submitting ad material that requires our production
infers acceptance that the ad is copyright of The Coastal Passage,
and may not be used in other publications without prior consent
of The Coastal Passage.
DEADLINE
Reserve space as soon as possible. Ad material requiring our
production help should be 2 weeks minimum, in advance of print.
After reserving space, a "camera ready" ad should be
submitted at least a week prior to print. If we can find a place
for them, we can sometimes accept ads even later, but without
a proof available.
PAYMENT
Display ads: Payment in full is due within 15 business days of
printing. Alternatively, full payment may be made at time of
space order. Discounts may apply for pre-payment. Absolutely
no ad will be re-run if there is an amount outstanding on the
account.
1/16th size ads: Payment with copy please.
Web Site
TCP's web site is growing fast. The
only marine publication where a reader can download an entire
edition free!! Readers don't just have a look, they download
to their hard drive the whole thing including all ads. Your ads
go everywhere and no one misses the latest because of being between
ports. Display of links on links page of TCP web site is free
to regular advertisers and ads from the print edition are usualy
placed free of charge in the "E" version for regular
accounts.
"Advertorial/editorial"
Whatever you call it, it is rarely accepted
at TCP. The priority is the readers interests. If material has
real value and interest for the boating community and happens
to be a benefit for an advertising supporter, well and good but
TCP guards it's reputation for integrity carefully. Material
that may confuse or misslead a reader, such as a product review
written by or paid for by an advertiser has no place in TCP.
Right of Refusal
TCP reserves the right to decline advertising
that in the opinion of the publisher, does not serve the interests
of the community it represents. |
